Printing via IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)
You must have administrator privileges in order to install the printer
driver.
If the User Account Control window appears when installing on Win-
dows Vista/Server 2008, click the Allow button or the Continue but-
ton.
For IPP printing, specify the network setting. Refer to "Making the
Connection" on page 6-3 and "IPP" on page 6-11.
With Windows Server 2008
When using Windows Server 2008, settings must be specified in the operat-
ing system before the printer driver is installed.

Click the Start button.

Point to Administrative Tools, and then click Server Manager.
If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click Continue button.

In the Server Manager main window, click Add Features in the Features
Summary section.

Select the Internet Printing Client check box to install the feature.

Restart the computer.
Adding an IPP Port using the Printer Driver CD/DVD

Insert the Printer Driver CD/DVD in the CD/DVD drive of your computer.
The installer starts up.
If Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 is being used, click Run
AutoRun.exe in the AutoPlay dialog box that appears when the CD/
DVD is inserted.
If the installer does not start up automatically, double-click the Auto-
Run.exe icon on the CD/DVD.

Click Printer Install.

Click AGREE.
