The DP relay PWB is not
properly attached.
The connector is not
properly connected.
The SATA cable is
deformed or broken.
The DPCIS is not properly
connected to the DPSHD
PWB.
The DPSHD PWB is faulty.

The DP relay PWB is
faulty.
The main PWB is faulty.
Assumed cause
The Background Density
Adjustment is not set.
The background density is
dark.
The Background Density
Adjustment is not set.
The original background
density is dark. The
background density
adjustment is dark.
The original is raised at
scanning.
The shading plate is dirty.

Measures
Reattach the DP relay PWB.
Reinsert the connectors of
the SATA cable between the
DPSHD PWB and the DP
relay PWB.
Replace the SATA cable
between the DPSHD PWB
and the DP relay PWB.
Reconnect the DPCIS to the
DPSHD PWB.
Replace the DPSHD PWB.
Replace the DPCIS, and
then execute U091 and
U411.
Replace the DP relay PWB.
Replace the main PWB.
Measures
Set [Original Image] in
[System Menu/Counter]
key > [Common Settings]
> [Function Defaults].
Set [Original Image] in
[System Menu/Counter]
key > [Common Settings]
> [Function Defaults].
Set [Background Density
Adj.] to [Auto] in [Color/
Image Quality].
Set [Background Density
Adj.] to [Manual] in [Color/
Image Quality], and adjust
the background density.
Set the original during
pressing.
Clean the shading plate at
the backside of the contact
glass.
