follow this maintenance schedule and refer to any
specific instructions given in this section.
Daily check:

loose mounting bolts.

damaged buffing wheels.

Worn or damaged wires.
•
Any other unsafe condition.
Weekly/Monthly check:
•
Worn or damaged shaft bearings.
•
Worn or damaged cord.
•
Worn switch.

cleaning
Cleaning the Model g3622/3623, g3708, g4787/
g4788 industrial Buffer is relatively easy. Vacuum
excess wood chips, sawdust, or metal shavings
and wipe off the remaining dust with a dry cloth.
if any resin has built up, use a resin dissolving
cleaner to remove it. treat all unpainted cast iron
and steel with a non-staining lubricant after clean-
ing.
Unpainted cast Iron
protect the unpainted cast iron surfaces on the
shaft by wiping it clean after every use—this
ensures moisture from wood dust does not remain
on bare metal surfaces.
Keep the shaft rust-free with regular applications
of products like g96
gun treatment, slipit
®
t-9 (see Section 5: Accessories on
Boeshield
®
page 22 for more details).
