OPERATING THE LASER LEVEL
Ensure that the laser level is protected against
moisture and direct sunlight. Do not expose
the laser level to extreme temperatures or
temperature drops. E.g., do not leave it inside
the car for too long. In case of a significant
temperature drop, allow the temperature to
stabilize and make sure to check the accuracy
of the laser level before you proceed (see the
"Preparing for operation" section). Extreme
temperatures and temperature drops may
deteriorate the accuracy of the laser level.
WA RNI NG!
Prevent the laser level from dropping or
strong shocks. In case of high external ef-
fects on the laser level, or if in doubt that
the laser level has been stored or trans-
ported properly, make sure to check its
accuracy before you proceed (see the
"Preparing for operation" section).
Be sure to activate the laser level during trans-
portation. When the laser level is deactivated,
the pendulum assembly is therefore locked to
prevent damages resulting from strong shocks.
Before you proceed do as follows:
– carry out visual integrity test of the casing;
– ensure the operation of the pendulum mech-
anism switch is precise and without jamming;
– make sure the pendulum mechanism is oper-
ational by activating the laser level, then set-
ting it above 3°of a vertical/horizontal devia-
tion. The laser beams should flash unless the
pendulum is operational;
– Should there be any malfunctions, please con-
tact the corporate service center of Dnipro M.
WA RNI NG!
After transportation of the laser level at
low temperatures (in case it is operated
indoors), it should be kept at room
temperature for at least 2 hours until
the condensed moisture on the surface
and inside dries completely.
Laser level charging
The laser level charging is carried out by
connecting the cable to the appropriate
connector on the battery casing. The charge
indicators on the battery show the charge
level. Activation of all the indicators mean
that the battery is completely charged. Upon
completion of the charging procedure, be sure
to unplug the charging unit from the mains and
disconnect it from the battery pack.
Battery pack installation
Align the grooves on the battery pack with
those on the laser level casing and slide the
battery pack against the stop with little effort.
WARN IN G!
Do not apply excessive effort when in-
stalling the battery pack. Difficulties
with the connection assume that the
actions are made improperly. It may
also be caused by a foreign item in the
grooves of the battery casing or in the
grooves on the laser level casing.
WARN IN G!
Should the laser level not be used for a
long time, do not store its battery com-
pletely discharged and at temperatures
below +5 °C. Non-observance of these
instructions may cause battery cells to
quickly fail to function.
Operating the laser level
Place the laser level on a solid, smooth surface
that prevents vibration. The laser level may be
activated either in self-aligning mode or with a
locked pendulum (for building inclined planes).
Switch the pendulum mechanism lock knob (6)
(Fig. 3) from OFF to ON, then activate the laser
level by pressing the key (3) (Fig. 3).
Should there be a buzzer sound and the flashing
of a bubble level indicator when the laser level
is activated, it means that the deviation of
the device from the vertical/horizontal line is
above ±3°. Use the feet or a tripod to adjust
the position of the laser level by focusing on
the position of the bubble level element, which
should be located in the center of the circle
marked on the level casing.
Be sure to rotate the upper part of the laser
level in order to adjust the vertical beams.
Then adjust the precise position of the device
using the micrometer screw knob (2) (Fig. 1).
The laser level provides several modes of oper-
ation. In order to select the horizontal and ver-
tical lines, press the (1) V and (2) H buttons ac-
cordingly (Fig. 3).
In order to build an inclined line, be sure to
activate the device with the pendulum mech-
anism locked (the pendulum mechanism lock
knob set to OFF (Fig. 3).
