    3. Hardware Installation 1. Connect the Power Cord to the TPE-S160 and then to a power outlet. 2. Move the Power switch to the on position. 3. Connect a RJ-45 network cable from the computer to an available Ethernet port on the TPE-S160.
  • Page 6 4. Connect a RJ-45 cable from a PoE port (1~16) on the TPE-S160 to the LAN port of the PoE device (e.g. TEW-638PAP) 5. Verify that the following TPE-S160 LED are on: Power, PoE and Link/ACT.
  • Page 7 Using a non-PoE device with the TPE-S160 and the TPE-112GS (PoE Splitter) Note: Take note of the power requirements for your non-PoE device. The TPE-112GS only supports non-PoE devices with an output power of 5V, 7.5V, 9V or 12V DC. 1.

    5. Where is the uplink port located on the Switch? Since all the ports on the Switch are Auto-MDIX, any of the ports can be used as an uplink port. If you still encounter problems or have any questions regarding the TPE-S160 please contact Trendnet's Technical Support Department.
