Connect to the DRV
Download and install the USB-RS485 Driver and The Brain®

DRV40/50/80 Programming Software from the Armstrong website:

Plug the PC USB Cable into the USB port of a laptop or PC. Plug

the other end of the cable into the RS-485 serial port on the DRV80

Double click on the DRV Programming Software icon on the desktop, or

search for "Brain DRV Programming Software.exe" and run the file.

Warranty and Certifications
The Brain® Model DRV50 and The Brain® Model DRV80 shall have a five (5) year
parts warranty on all components other than preventative maintenance service
items listed in the IOM, which includes batteries and all 'wetted' O-rings and seals.

Read this guide before starting up the DRV.
• Applicable codes must be followed and supersede any other instructions.
Generally applicable codes in the US include: IPC (International Plumbing
Code).
• Improper installation or operation may cause a flood resulting in property
damage, personal injury, or death. Armstrong strongly recommends that a
qualified installer perform DRV start-up.
• DRV service must be performed by a qualified individual.
• Improper installation, start-up, operation, maintenance, or service may
void the warranty.
• Hot water or metal may cause scald burns. Skin exposure to 140°F
water or metal for only five seconds could cause a second-degree
