Platter Installation

The lower bearing is capped to seal in
lubricant during shipping. Remove the cap
and, using the included grease applicator,
remove some of the grease (making sure to
not remove all of the grease) from the inside
of the lower bearing and coat the outside of
the lower bearing. Using the installed strap
and supporting with your other hand, lift and
carefully lower the platter onto the lower
bearing. It may take a few minutes (spinning
the platter by hand helps) for the platter to
initially settle.
Warning:
Use caution when seating the platter
as the weight can cause injury to
fingers if trapped.
