FAQ.

This chapter lists some suggestions for correct use of Smartech Plus or
Wi-Fi Gateway Kit and the main solutions to the most recurring problems.
7.1 RESTORING DEFAULT CHRONO-THERMOSTAT
SETTINGS.
In the event of incorrect programming of the Chrono-thermostat settings
in the Smartech Plus kit, the default values can be reset as follows:
Enter the Diagnostic menu (Par.2.9.6) and press 5 times until the word
"DEFAULT" appears in the "SIGNAL STRENGTH box".

7.2 SYSTEM STATUS VIA APP.

It is possible to check the status of the system from the main Installation
page via the App. The installation consists of Chrono-thermostat(s) and
the Gateway (Smartech Plus) or the Gateway alone (Wi-Fi Gateway Kit).
- With Smartech Plus, if the Chrono-thermostat(s) are disconnected from
the Gateway (low battery or out of Bluetooth range), the App will show
the message "SMARTECH is disconnected!" (Fig. 60).

In this case it is necessary to replace the batteries of the Chrono-thermo-
stat(s) or bring the latter closer to the Gateway (see Paragraph 2.9.6 Signal
strength).
- If the Gateway is not connected to the internet (no home internet network
or Wi-Fi out of range), the App will show an alert of the last update with
the date and time (Fig. 61).

In this case it is necessary to check the internet access or the coverage of
the home Wi-Fi signal.

7.3 OT ERROR / MODBUS ERROR.

This error can be displayed both on the App and on any device. If it occurs
it may be due to:
Incorrect electrical connection.
Check the correct electrical connection of the Gateway in the installation
manual, also checking the wiring diagrams in the generator instructions
booklet.
Accidentally activating safe mode
(only for Smartech Plus).
For further information on this mode, consult the device installation
instruction sheet.
To exit this mode, remove the batteries from the Chrono-thermostat(s)
and turn off power to the Gateway. Insert the batteries again and power
the Gateway again.
Incorrect system registration.
Delete the main zone of the installation which highlighted the anomaly, (Par.
2.8 with Ref. 1 of Fig. 19) and repeat the registration (Par. 1.3).
