  • Page 5 This Simplex product incorporates a laser device and is classified as a Class 1 laser product that complies with FDA regulations 21 CFR 1040.10. The laser is housed in a sealed detector chamber and contains no serviceable parts.

    The Simplex VESAD-E VEU IDNet detectors 4098-VEU-A00 and 4098-VEU-A10 (referred to as VESDA-E IDNet detector) have integrated IDNet Signalling Line Circuit (SLC) module to communicate with Simplex Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) directly over the VESDA-E IDNet loop. The VESDA-E IDNet detectors are variants of the conventional VESDA-E VEU detectors with built-in VESDA-E IDNet interface module.

It contains the same components as respective conventional detector with the addition of a built in VESDA-E IDNet module.

    Simplex VESDA-E VEU IDNet Detectors Product Guide Commissioning Once configured appropriately, ensure that the VESDA-E IDNet detector can communicate with the FACP without any faults. Disconnect the VESDA-E IDNet loop connection on the IDNet detector and verify that a communication fault is triggered at the FACP if required. Once the above is verified, follow the commissioning process described in the relevant conventional detector product guide.
