Pulse Output Module for Sensus Wireless Meters
Description
The Sensus POM-433 (Pulse Output Module) provides a
solution to add pulse output functionality to Sensus radio-
enabled meters in AMR or AMI mode. It acts as an interface
between a Sensus meter transmitting wM-Bus messages
and a 3rd party data logger, allowing integration to Building
Management systems via the pulse output.

Pulse interface
The device provides a 4-wire pulse interface, which is configurable
depending on requirements. The wires are colour-coded as per
below:
White – Primary pulses

Yellow – Secondary pulses/Direction
Green/Brown – Ground/Cable Cut (normally closed connection)
Depending on pulse configuration selected

Typical installation
The maximum distance between the Sensus POM-433 and the
meter is 10 m line of sight. Typical installation is in a meter pit,
mounted above the waterline to the underside of the lid or pit
wall, or directly adjacent to connected meter mounted in a box.
Test the best position before the final installation.

Installation of the wall holder
The wall plate is surface mounted using two screws.
Leave sufficient slack cable and space so that the
transponder can be replaced in the future.
Do not install the transponder upside down!
Fitting / Removing the transponder
To fit the transponder push the rectangular protrusions on the
back into the mating holes in the wall plate and push down. To
remove the transponder, do it vice versa.
Disposal instructions
This product contains lithium batteries. To protect
the environment it should not be disposed of
in household waste when its serviceable life
is over. Don't destroy or drill or demolish the
module housing!
Disposal can take place through a Sensus Service Centre. If
however you want to take care of the disposal yourself, please
comply with the local and national regulations for environmental
protection.

The device is to be installed by trained and qualified service
personnel only.
There are no replaceable parts in the device. Do not open
the device for repair or service.
Do not pierce, break, crush, or cut the device or the battery!
Do not expose the device or the battery to an open flame or
extremely high termperatures!
Do not expose the device or the battery to liquids or
extremely low air pressure!
Do not drop the device or the battery!
Do not try to change or charge the battery in the device!
The device or the battery must be recycled or disposed of
separately from household waste!
CAUTION: Failure to observe the safety instructions can result
in fire, electric shock, and other injuries or damage to the device
or other property. The housing is made of plastic with sensitive
electronic components and batteries inside.
