Digital cameras in the corners of the interactive whiteboard track the position of the pens and your finger on the interactive surface, and then send the information to the SMART software. SMART software interprets this information as mouse clicks, digital ink or ink removal in the appropriate location. -

Chapter 5 Maintenance Don’t obstruct the cameras’ view of the interactive whiteboard. For example, don’t place magnets, stickers or adhesive tape on the interactive surface or rest any objects, including your hand or the pens, in the recess at the bottom of the interactive surface. This interferes with the corner cameras’ ability to detect your finger or pens on the interactive surface. -
