Typical Gain versus Frequency and Calculated Field Strength (1m and 3m) versus Frequency data for the Model ATH26G40-1 are included in Section 2 of this manual. Typical Beam Width (E-Plane and H-Plane) data for the Model ATH26G40-1 is presented in Table 1-1.
When used in a shielded room, reflections and room losses will reduce the available microwave (MW) field. AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation recommends a design safety factor of 100% when selecting a MW power amplifier. Optimum performance will be achieved when the Model ATH26G40-1 High-Gain Horn Antenna is used with a broadband MW power amplifier, such as the Model 25T26G40, Model 40T26G40, and other “T”...

Antenna 26.5–40GHz The Model ATH26G40-1 is a wide band, low gain, wide beamwidth, high power microwave horn antenna. With a minimum gain of 8dB over isotropic, the Model ATH26G40-1 supplies the high intensity fields necessary for RFI/EMI field testing within and beyond the confines of a shielded room. The Model ATH26G40- 1 is extremely compact and light weight for ready mobility, yet is built tough enough for the extra demands of outdoor use and easily mounts on a rigid waveguide by the waveguide flange.

Individual shielded rooms, amplifiers, and test-system conditions will influence performance. Field strength also varies with frequency and position of antenna and EUT in non-anechoic testing environments.

These modules are not field-repairable and should never be opened outside of AR’s Microelectronics Lab. The modules in these product lines have a security label on two sides of the modules between the housing and lid/cover. If the security label is removed and or cut, the warranty of the module will be voided.
