AR recommends a design safety factor of 100% when selecting a MW power amplifier. Optimum performance will be achieved when the Model ATH33G50 High-Gain Horn Antenna is used with a broadband MW power amplifier, such as the Model 70T40G45, Model 120T40G45, and other “T” Series MW Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) amplifiers available from AR. - Page 17 The Model ATH33G50 is also used as a reference source in dual-channel antenna test receivers and can be used as a pickup horn for radiation monitoring.
