Advanced Setup

This chapter explains the remaining options available in Advanced Setup:

Click Call Control and PPP/MP Setup to open the setup page displayed below.

Some applications require the router to be remotely activated, or dial up to the ISP

using the ISDN interface. For instance, if you are a user who accesses the Internet

via ISDN from home, usually the dialup connection is idle when you are not at home.

You may want to get some files from home while you are working in the office. This

function allows you to make a phone call to the router and ask it to dial up to the ISP.

Then you can access your home network to retrieve the files. Of course, you have to

have a fixed IP address and expose some internal network resources, such as FTP,

WWW etc.
