■ Remote control
Problem
The remote control
does not work nor
function properly.

Cause
Wrong distance or angle.
Direct sunlight or lighting (from an
inverter type of fluorescent lamp, etc.) is
striking the remote control sensor of this
unit.
The batteries are weak.
The remote control ID and this unit's ID
do not match.
The remote control code was not correctly
set.
Even if the remote control code is
correctly set, there are some models that
do not respond to the remote control.
You did not press the input selector button
corresponding to the component you are
trying to control.
The remote control is not set to the correct
zone.
If the remote control batteries are weak or
removed, the remote control ID and zone
will switch to the default settings (ID2 and
Main zone).
Remedy
The remote control will function within a maximum
range of 6 m (20 ft) and no more than 30 degrees off-
axis from the front panel.
Reposition this unit.
Replace all batteries.
Switch the remote control ID or this unit's ID.
Try setting another code of the same manufacturer
using "LIST OF REMOTE CONTROL CODES" at
the end of this manual.
Use the supplied remote control for the components.
Press the input selector button corresponding to the
component you are trying to control, and then press
the desired remote control button(s).
Set the remote control to the correct zone, the Main
zone or Zone 2, and then operate the remote control.
Replace all batteries, and then set the remote control
ID and zone again.
