Use D / E (to select a digit to edit) and B / C
(to select a number) on the remote control to
enter the 4-digit code number.
• If you are entering a code number for the first time,
enter the desired code number.
• If you have entered a code number before, enter the
same code number.
The entered code number is needed for tuning in the
channel or unlocking the channel. Write it down below.

the remote control.

If the code number was entered for the first time, a confirmation
message is displayed. Press ENTER again to confirm the code
number.
The SIRIUS channel number and channel name are
displayed on the front panel display.
Notes
• If a code number is already registered and you enter a different
number, "WRONG" is displayed and the display returns to step
3. Enter the correct code number.
• If you forget the Parental lock code or want to change it, reset it
using "SR PIN" (see page 43).

unlocked.

Note
When searching for a channel, the sound of the selected channel
can be heard even if the channel is locked.

Press ENTER on the remote control to lock
or unlock the selected channel.
• If the selected channel is locked, the channel
number and "LOCKED" are displayed on the front
panel display.
• If the selected channel is unlocked, the front panel
display changes from "LOCKED" to the channel
name.

Repeat steps 5 and 6 to lock or unlock other
channels as desired.

Press OPTION once or press RETURN
repeatedly on the remote control to exit the
"Parental Lock".
• If the last channel you selected was locked, the unit
tunes in to "184 Weather/Emergency" or "000
SIRIUS ID".
• If the last channel you selected was unlocked, the
unit tunes in to that channel.
■ Tuning in to the locked channels
Tune in to the channel using direct number access mode
(see page 30) or preset search mode (see page 31). When
you tune in to a locked channel "LOCKED" is displayed
on the front panel display, followed by the following
message. Enter the Parental lock code set previously by
using the numeric buttons on the remote control. To cancel
this operation, press ENTER on the remote control.

Note
If the number you entered does not match the code number,

tunes in to the previously selected channel.
