CHECKING ZERO POINT
The zero point setting of each micrometer has been carefully set and tested. However, it should always be checked to ensure the accuracy of measurements
taken.
To check the zero point setting, turn
reference base line of the graduations on the outer sleeve. For micrometers larger than 0-1"size, the zero point is checked using the standard

ADJUSTING ZERO POINT
Any deviation found from the zero point inspection above can be corrected through the procedure below:
A. If the deviation is under
two
divisions on the thimble, turn the sleeve with the
