    Troubleshooting This chapter describes how to troubleshoot the S9500E switch installation failures. The power supply system, fans, and cards of an S9500E switch have multiple LEDs, through which you can locate the failures. Configuration system problems If the configuration environment setup is correct, the configuration terminal displays boot information when the switch is powered on.

    Power supply failure Table 1 AC power supply LED description Status Description Steady on Power is being correctly input. Input The power supply is absent or has input voltage error. Steady on The power supply is correctly outputting power. Output The power supply has output voltage error or is absent.

    When the MPU works properly, the RUN LED (callout 6 in Figure 1) flashes, and the ALM LED (callout 7 Figure 1) is off. When the two LEDs are not in the states mentioned above, the MPU fails. To troubleshoot the MPU: Check that the power supply works properly.
