FACTORY REPAIR
Wavetek
maintains
a factory repair department
for
those customers not possessing the necessary per-
sonnel or test equipment to maintain the instrument. If
an instrument is returned to the factory for alignment
or
repair,
a detailed
description
of the
specific
problem should be attached to minimize turnaround
time.

REMOVING GENERATOR
COVERS

Invert
the
instrument
and
remove
the
four
screws in the bottom cover.

Turn
the instrument
upright;
remove
the top
cover for access
to generator alignment con-
trols.

When alignment is complete, secure the bottom
cover with four screws.
NOTE
Remove
the cover only when it is neces-
sary
to make
adjustments
or measure-
ments.

5.4
ALIGNMENT
After referring to the following preliminary data, per-
form alignment, as necessary, per table 5-1. If per-
forming
partial alignment,
check
previous
settings
and adjustments for applicability. See figures 5-1 and
5-2 for alignment control location.
1.
All measurements made at the FUNCTION OUT
connector must be terminated into а 500 (+ 1%)
load.
2.
Start the alignment by connecting the unit to an
appropriate
ac power
source
and setting the
front panel switches as follows.

Allow the unit to warm up at least 30 minutes for
final alignment. Keep the instrument cover on to
maintain heat. Remove cover only to make ad-
justments or measurements.
