Page 6: Safety Instructions
Overheating protection This appliance is fitted with overheating protection. If the motor overheats due to overloading, the appliance switches itself off automatically. In this case, disconnect the power cable and wait until the appliance has cooled down to room temperature. Operation NOTE ► As every shredder is tested for functionality after manufacture, it is possible that you may find paper residue in the cutting blades. ● Place the shredder on a suitable container: place the broad end of the appliance on the edge of the container. Then pull out the telescopic arm until it sits securely on the other edge. -

Switching the appliance off ● To switch the device off, push the switch to the “OFF” position. ● If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, remove the plug from the power socket. Note regarding overheating of the appliance The appliance switches off... -

Faults If the paper jams: This means that you have attempted to feed too much paper into the appliance (max. 6 sheets 80 g/m paper). ● Move the switch into the “REV” position if the paper causes a blockage. The appliance now goes into reverse and the material that is being shredded is ejected. -
Page 11: Disposal Of The Appliance
● Place the switch in the “OFF” position. ● Allow the appliance to cool down. ● Put the mains plug back into the socket. ● Switch the appliance on, by moving the switch into the “AUTO” position. Disposal of the appliance Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. - Page 12 Warranty period and statutory claims for defects The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.

Θέση σε λειτουργία ΥΠΟΔΕΙΞΗ ► Επειδή κάθε καταστροφέας εγγράφων ελέγχεται για τη λειτουργία του μετά την κατασκευή, μπορεί να συμβεί να υπάρχουν υπολείμματα νερού στις λεπίδες κοπής. ● Τοποθετήστε τον καταστροφέα εγγράφων επάνω σε ένα κατάλληλο δοχείο: Τοποθετήστε το φαρδύ άκρο της συσκευής επάνω στο άκρο του δοχείου. Απενεργοποίηση συσκευής ● Για να απενεργοποιήσετε τη συσκευή, ωθήστε το διακόπτη στη θέση „OFF“. ● Εάν δεν χρειάζεστε τη συσκευή για μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα, τραβάτε το βύσμα από την πρίζα. Überhitzungsschutz Dieses Gerät ist mit einem Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet. Wenn der Motor aufgrund von Überlastung zu heiß wird, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch aus. Ziehen Sie in diesem Fall den Netzstecker und warten Sie, bis sich das Gerät auf die Raumtemperatur abgekühlt hat. Sie können dann den Netzstecker wieder mit dem Stromnetz verbinden und das Gerät wieder in Betrieb nehmen. - Page 27 WARNUNG! Inbetriebnahme HINWEIS ► Da jeder Aktenvernichter nach der Herstellung auf Funktionalität geprüft wird, kann es passieren, dass sich Papierreste in den Schneidmessern befinden. ● Setzen Sie den Aktenvernichter auf einen geeigneten Behälter: Setzen Sie das breite Ende des Gerätes auf den Rand des Behälters. Danach ziehen Sie den Teleskoparm soweit heraus, dass auch dieser sicher auf dem Rand sitzt. -

Gerät ausschalten ● Um das Gerät auszuschalten, schieben Sie den Schalter in die Position „OFF“. ● Wenn Sie das Gerät für längere Zeit nicht brauchen, ziehen Sie den Netzste- cker aus der Netzsteckdose. Hinweis zur Überhitzung des Gerätes Bei Überhitzung schaltet das Gerät automatisch ab. ACHTUNG! ►... -

Im Fehlerfall Wenn das Schneidgut im Gerät stecken bleibt: Dies bedeutet, dass Sie zu viel Papier in das Gerät eingeführt haben (max. 6 Blatt 80g/m ● Schieben Sie den Schalter in die Position „REV“, falls das Schneidgut stecken bleibt. Der Rückwärtslauf ist nun eingeschaltet und das Schneidgut wird wieder ausgegeben. -

● Stellen Sie den Schalter in die Position „OFF”. ● Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen. ● Stecken Sie den Netzstecker wieder in die Steckdose. ● Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie den Schalter in die Position „AUTO“ stellen. Gerät entsorgen Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll. - Page 32 Garantiezeit und gesetzliche Mängelansprüche Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch für ersetzte und reparierte Teile. Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden und Mängel müssen sofort nach dem Auspacken gemeldet werden. Nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind kostenpflichtig.
