Patient Application Instructions
BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY.
CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USE:
This brace is designed to alleviate pain by supporting the body in guiding and stabilizing the knee joint.
INDICATIONS:
For patients with symptoms, physical findings or radiographic evidence of moderate to severe unicompartmental knee
osteoarthritis, or post-operative meniscal tears only where unicompartmental unloading is indicated.
APPLICATION OF THE BRACE:
1. Disconnect magnetic latches on thigh and
calf
4. Bring thigh and calf buckles to closed
position

2. While sitting on the edge of a chair,
flex the leg at 45 degrees, position hinge
at top of the knee cap and slightly in
front of midline of the leg on the affected
compartment
5. Adjust thigh and calf circumferential
straps as necessary
3. With buckles in the open position,
connect the magnetic latches on thigh
and calf
6. For thigh tensioning, move leg back into
flexed 45 degree position, rotate BOA(R) dials
clockwise to tighten as necessary, note
location on printed graduated scale. Repeat
for calf
