  • Page 5 Permanently coupled hoses cannot be repaired; replace the entire hose. D Use only Graco approved hoses. Do not remove any spring guard that is used to help protect the hose from rupture caused by kinks or bends near the couplings.

D The electric heater must be installed, operated, and serviced only by trained, qualified personnel who fully understand the requirements stated in the heater instruction manual (supplied).

    Ensure that the wall is strong enough to support the weight of the pump and accessories, heater, fluid, hoses, and stress caused during pump operation. NOTE: Always use Genuine Graco Parts and Acces- sories, available from your Graco distributor. Refer to Ensure that you have an adequate compressed air Product Data Sheet 305899.
  • Page 8 2. Electrostatic Spray Gun: obtain grounding through connection to a properly grounded air supply hose. Use only the Graco Electrically Conductive Air 3 in. (76 mm) Square Cut Out Supply Hose (supplied). Connect the air hose and Finger of Glove Cut Off ground wire (Y) and the pump ground wire (22) to the grounding lug as shown in Fig.

    Installation D The suction hose (30) and tube (33) allow the Supplied Components pump to draw fluid from a 55 gallon (200 liter) drum Refer to Fig. 3. (L). Carbon steel models include a bung adapter (34) which screws into the drum’s bung hole. WARNING D The fluid heater (50) heats the fluid as it passes through, to maintain the correct spraying viscosity.

    Installation Installing the Pump 3. Using two people, lift the pump assembly into position and hang the pump bracket (1) on the bracket mounting plate (39).     Mounting Hole Layout Check that the bracket is level before bolting it to the wall. Mount the pump and heater brackets (1, 49) so the tops of the brackets are 4 to 5 ft (1.2 to 1.5 m) above the floor. Slots must face up.
