Field of application:
The devices are suited only for distributing radio and television signals in the
house! If the device is used for other purposes, no warranty is given!
Product description
The BVS 1-01P amplifies the signal level in the downstream by 15 dB, e.g. to
compensate for attenuation of CATV signals. The amplifier can be used for
cable networks up to 1218 MHz. The upstream in the frequency range 5 to 204
MHz is passive and is attenuated by only -1 dB.
Scope of delivery:

Equipotential bonding and mounting:
To avoid dangerous overvoltages (attention: risk of fire/death), the devices
must be connected to the equipotential bonding according to EN 60728-11.
 Use the equipotential bonding connection attached to the device (1).
 To connect the outer conductor of the coaxial cable to the equipotential
bonding, use e.g. earth connection blocks CFA or earthing angles QEW at
the input and output of the amplifier.
 Use the mounting screws included in the delivery and the mounting holes
of the devices (2).

RF installation:
 Connect the input of the amplifier to the CATV source. Connect the output
of the amplifier to your distribution network or to an antenna socket.
 Use highly shielded coaxial cable with F connectors. Suited cables and plugs
can be found at www.axing.com.
Power supply
The CATV subscriber amplifier can be supplied via the enclosed power supply
unit.
9 Connect the plug-in power supply unit to the 12 VDC connector and plug
the plug-in power supply unit into a socket.
Alternatively, the amplifier can be remotely fed via the coaxial cable at the
output.
9 Use a power supply with integrated DC blocker (AXING TZU 15-04, not
included in scope of delivery) to remotely feed the amplifier.
9 If the amplifier is remote-fed at the output, you should install a DC blocker
at the input (AXING SZU 14-00, not included in scope of delivery).
Power indicator LED:
The amplifier has a power indicator LED (3):
red = operation
off = no operating voltage
