- Page 8 1. The first step of the installation will be to remove the left hand side plastic rocker panel trims. 2. Unbolt the seat belt anchor and remove the bolt spacers and plastic insert from the seat belt.
- Page 9 3. Remove the lower b pillar trim. 4. Remove the plastic clip that holds the top of the heater duct.
- Page 10 5. Install the b pillar adapter # EV-HDA18L-02 using the provided M6-1.25X20mm bolt and the six self- tapping screws. 6. Fold down the plastic hook of the heater duct and push it back into place.
- Page 11 7. A cut out will have to be made in the lower b pillar trim to allow clearance for the ASENTO. Use the provided self-adhesive stencil. 8. A ¾ inch hole will have to be made in the lower b pillar trim to allow the b pillar adapter to pass through.
- Page 12 9. Run the power and ground cable for the ASENTO. Follow the instructions as detailed in the attached document: ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION (Found at the end of this manual.) 10. Reinstall the b pillar trim and the rocker panel trims. 11. Remove the plastic trims that cover the rear seat bolts, and then remove the seat bolts. Keep the...
- Page 13 12. Install the ASENTO floor adapter # EV-HDA18L-01 to the ASENTO using the provided 3/8- 16x1’’ bolt and flat washer. 13. Lift up the rear of the seat and slide the ASENTO with the attached floor adapter under the rear left seat rail and reinstall the OEM bolt.
- Page 14 OEM bolt. EV-UNI-03 15. Place the new seat belt bolt spacer # EV-HDA18-04 in position and then install the provided 3/8- 16x1’’ button head allen bolt and flat washer to attach the ASENTO to the b pillar adapter.
- Page 15 16. Using the provided 7/16-20x4’’ bolt install the 3/8 flat washer then # spacer and then EV-TUN14-03 seat belt followed by the final flat washer. Slide the bolt through the seat belt spacer to reinstall. Now tighten down all the bolts.
- Page 16 17. Tighten down the bolt which holds the floor adapter to the ASENTO. NOTE: You may have to wait till the ASENTO is connected to the power to do this as you may have to travel the ASENTO up to gain access.
- Page 17 18. Install the provided seat belt retaining elastic; this is used to stop the seat belt rubbing on the ASENTO in use. Attach the one end under the seat to the seat wire support, and insert the other under the left hand seat trim.
- Page 18 20. Before the ASENTO can be used it will have to be programmed. Once the control box is connected to the 12-volt power supply and has beeped to signify that it is active, the ASENTO will be in reduced power mode.
- Page 19 21. Install the transfer board by sliding it onto the chrome shaft of the ASENTO. Make sure that it slides all the way onto the shaft. Final Inspection: Make sure all bolts are all properly fastened. Make sure that ASENTO works well with and without a passenger.
- Page 20 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION FOR ASENTO 1. Thread the lead power cable (red +) under the doorstep molding and through the firewall. WARNING: Pass through a grommet in the firewall to prevent the cable from chaffing. 2. Install the circuit breaker near the battery and then connect the battery to the circuit breaker.

WARNING DECALS After completing the installation of the ASENTO, please take time to install the warning decals. NOTE: The surface must be clean, dry and at ambient temperature for the sticker to stick to the surface.
