HANDLE AND STORAGE INFORMATION UNIT STORAGE Figure 1. Removal of support corner brackets. Essential Precautions for Storing the Unit on the Ground The Wallpack is designed for outdoor use; however, specific project requirements may necessitate storing the unit on the ground temporarily.
INSTALLATION DUCTWORK All ductwork, supplies and returns, must be properly sized to meet the equipment’s airflow design requirement. You refer to Air Conditioning Contactors of America (ACCA), is an excellent guide to proper sizing. Where ducts pass through unheated spaces, they should be insulated with a minimum of 1” of insulation. Flexible joints should be used to connect ductwork to equipment to minimize noise transmission.
Page 10
INSTALLATION FRESH AIR DAMPER Figure 6. Adjustable Blade All standard models are equipped with a fresh air inlet positioned internally within the unit, behind the front grill. This inlet is strategically designed to facilitate the recirculation or supply of fresh air from the exterior into the room. The dampers are initially configured in the closed position by default at the factory and require user intervention for adjustment if desired.
INSTALLATION BASIC INSTALLATION DEVELOPMENT AND Make sure you can access the maintenance hatch on your device. APPLICATION PLANNING Inspect walls for obstructions that may interfere with equipment installation or maintenance, such as outdoor electrical wiring, Successful equipment installation requires proper planning junction boxes, wall drains, exhaust hoods, windows, doors, and site inspection before installation begins.
INSTALLATION Flexible joints should be used to connect the ductwork to the DUCTED AND NON-DUCTED INDOOR APPLICATIONS equipment to keep the noise transmission to a minimum. Ducts through the walls must be insulated, and all joints must taped or sealed to prevent air or moisture from entering the wall cavity. Air distribution within a conditioned building plays a vital role in All model series require a 1/4”...
INSTALLATION This insulation will help prevent non-conditioned air from entering the thermostat, affecting temperature and/or humidity readings. As Wall Surface Preparation: Clean the area of the exterior standard practice, the thermostat or temperature sensor should wall where the unit will be mounted. Ensure the surface is measure the temperature of the air being returned to the unit, smooth, level, and free from any debris to facilitate a seam- and not the conditioned air being supplied by the unit.

SERVICE If there’s no low voltage signal detected, investigate the thermostat’s demand signal. Additionally, inspect the output termi- nal and wires leading from the terminal strip or control relay(s) to the motor for any issues. In the event the motor receives adequate high voltage (as verified in Step 1 under the section “If the Motor Is Not Running” on page 45), and correct low voltage to a designated terminal yet fails to operate, it indicates a malfunction.
