To light the grill on a Smeg SSA91GGX2:

1. Press the control knob for the grill.
2. Turn it anti-clockwise to the maximum flame symbol.
3. Hold the knob in to activate the electronic ignition.
4. Keep the knob pressed for a few seconds to let the thermocouple heat up.
5. If the burner goes out when released, repeat the process and hold the knob in longer.

Wait 60 seconds before trying again if ignition fails after 15 seconds.
