    2. TECHNICAL FEATURES AND DIMENSIONS 2.1. Technical features The COMPACT pellet boiler is an automatic pellet unit, with integrated all the necessary components for a central heating installation: pump, expansion vessel, safety equipment. It is designed for use only with wood pellets.

    After having unpacked everything, make sure that the appliance is intact and undamaged. In case of doubt do not use the appliance and inform the supplier. The COMPACT boiler is delivered with the following equipment: ▪ Boiler steel body ▪ Glasswool insulation mounted on the boiler body ▪...

    BOILER MOUNTING The lack of draught from the chimney, or the obstruction of air intake can affect the correct function of the product, cause error in the ignition, and even emit smoke. Special care must be taken for the air intake of the boiler, especially if the boiler is installed in a narrow space.
  • Page 9 BOILER MOUNTING It is prohibited to change the exhaust diameter by any means or reduction between the boiler outlet and the vertical chimney pipe! It is prohibited to use as a chimney flexible aluminum tube! The horizontal part connecting the boiler’s chimney pipe with the vertical chimney must have maximum length 1,5 m.

    INSTALLATION 4. INSTALLATION 4.1. Boiler connections The boiler comes preassembled with all necessary for function hydraulic components (pump, expansion vessel, safety valve, air-relief valve). All connections are performed at the back of the boiler. There is a side door for access inside the components of the boiler. The boiler is intended for maximum working temperature 80 C and maximum pressure 2,5 bar.

    Make sure that the electric cable is not in contact with hot parts of the boiler or the chimney, and is not crushed by heavy parts.     CONTROLLER 5.2. User Menu 5.2.1. User Menu 1 MENU DESCRIPTION It allows to modify the combustion power of the system. Power It can be chosen a power level, or Auto. Boiler Menu to modify Boiler Thermostat value. Menu to edit the DHW Thermostat value. It is displayed if DHW sensor is installed.
  • Page 14 CONTROLLER 5.2.3. Chrono programming The Chrono Menu allows programming and enabling ignition/extinguishing of the system. It consists of 2 submenu. The system has three type of programs: Daily, Weekly and WeekEnd. Mode It allows you to select the mode of your choice or to disable all the set programmes.

Operation modes The boiler can run in various work modes, each of which depends on the working conditions of the boiler, triggered by the exhaust gas temperature sensor, boiler water temperature sensor, safety devices and operating errors.     CONTROLLER 5.4. Alarms The controller automatically recognizes the corresponding error and will inform the user by displaying the corresponding alarm code on the display. With any alarm, the system goes in Block and needs to be reset manually after eliminating the error source, by pressing the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds.

    BOILER START-UP 6.2.2. Start-up by the chronothermostat The boiler will automatically start according to the chronothermostat settings (see paragraph 5.2.3), given that this option is activated. 6.3. Combustion regulation Pellet fuel qualities can vary one from each other. Also, the chimney installation and the room ventilation can highly influence the combustion settings.

    SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE 7. SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE 7.1. Cleaning the boiler Solid fuel boilers require regular cleaning in order to function properly and efficient. Cleaning must be effected at least once a week. The boiler function must be stopped before cleaning! Make sure all the devices are stopped, and the boiler has cooled down.
  • Page 21 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE 7.2.4. Annual maintenance The annual maintenance should be effected by an authorized technician. The frequency of this maintenance depends on pellet quality, function time, chimney installation. Call the service whenever the message Service appears on the display for periodical maintenance, or there are difficulties on the boiler function.
