Electric parking brake

PARKING BRAKE
Automatic mode
Automatic mode
To turn automatic mode ON, while vehicle is stopped, pull and hold the switch until
"EPB Shift Interlock Function Activated" displays on the Multi-Information Display
(MID). While depressing the brake pedal, shifting into P position will automatically
set the brake and turn the parking brake indicator and parking brake lamp on. To
release brake, depress the brake pedal and shift out of P. The indicator and the
lamp will turn off.
To turn automatic mode OFF, press and hold the parking brake switch until "EPB
Shift Interlock Function Deactivated" displays on the MID.
Manual mode
While the vehicle is stopped and the brake pedal is depressed, pull the switch to
set the parking brake and turn the parking brake indicator and parking brake lamp
on. To release, press the brake pedal and press the switch. The indicator and the
lamp will turn off.

BRAKE HOLD

The brake hold system keeps the brake applied when the shift lever is in any
position other than P or R while the system is on and the brake pedal has been
depressed to stop the vehicle (yellow indicator light.) The system releases the
brake when the accelerator pedal is depressed with the shift lever in any position
other than P, R or N to allow smooth start off (green indicator light.)
