To turn automatic mode ON, while vehicle is stopped, pull and hold the parking
brake switch until a buzzer sounds and "EPB Shift Interlock Function Activated"
displays on the Multi-Information Display (MID).*/until a buzzer sounds and auto
EPB OFF indicator turns off.**
- Vehicles with an Automatic transmission: While depressing the brake pedal,
shifting the lever into P position will automatically set the brake and turn the
parking brake indicator light on.
- Vehicles with a Manual transmission: When the engine is off, the parking brake
will be set, and the parking brake indicator light and the parking brake switch
indicator turn on.
To release the brake, depress the brake pedal and shift the lever out of P. The
indicator will turn off.
To turn automatic mode OFF, press and hold the parking brake switch until a
buzzer sounds and "EPB Shift Interlock Function Deactivated" displays on the
MID*/until a buzzer sounds and auto EPB OFF indicator comes on.**
