Installation Guide
CAUTION
• Installation should only be performed by a qualified professional. Termination of the fibre optic harnesses should
be completed by a suitably trained professional using the correct equipment. Refer to Digilin's Fibre Optic
Harness Termination guide for further instructions.
• Install in accordance with all appropriate wiring standards.
• Do not install under mechanical stress.
• Allow for expansion due to changes in temperature.
• Warranty void if damage is caused by water ingress through cables. Water entering the cable may damage the
luminaire.
• Please be aware that while the system has a very long operational life, faults may occur and provision needs to
be made for maintenance.
• Always turn off power before working on luminaire.
• Avoid excessive strain on the luminaire cable fixing during installation. Take care not to nick or damage the cable.
Always terminate in a dry location.
• AquaStar is compatible with jacketed end-lit fibre optic cable only.
• AquaStar luminaires are factory terminated at Digilin, these are to be ordered to required length, with enough
cable to reach the light source to be terminated.
• All AquaStar luminaires and cables are to be installed above the waterproofing layer.
• Entry point to pool area should be above the finished waterline.
• Cabling route from light source to pool entry point should be mechanically protected.
• Digilin recommends the use of conduit for all cables from light source to pool entry point.
