1 Introduction

1.1 Precautions for use

The Enjo electric propulsion assistance is designed to help the accompanying person push the wheelchair and its occupant over a
long distance or uphill. The auxiliary drive does not help the accompanying person to brake the wheelchair. Enjo has been designed
to assist the accompanying person (hereafter referred to as the user) in propelling manual wheelchairs fitted with a manual brake.
The accompanying person must be physically and mentally capable of using and braking a manual wheelchair in all situations
without the aid of Enjo.
Enjo must not be modified in any way. Enjo must be used under the following conditions:
• Compliance with the indications, instructions and recommendations contained in these operating instructions.
• The appliance may only be used by a trained person.
• No technical modifications have been made by the user or by a third party.
• When using the Enjo, the arms of the person in the wheelchair must not extend beyond the armrests of the wheelchair..
The user must be trained in the handling of the Enjo and informed of the possible dangers in the event of incorrect behaviour.
Training is provided by an authorised dealer or by an Acekare representative. It is strictly forbidden for any untrained person to use
the Enjo.
The Enjo must not be used for any transport that does not comply with its intended use. This applies in particular to all types of load
transport, such as transporting everyday objects with the wheelchair and the Enjo.
Acekare considers the following to be misuse of the Enjo:
• Use of the device contrary to the instructions and recommendations in this user manual..
• Exceeding the technical performance limits defined in this user manual.
• Technical modifications to the appliance or enclosure.
• Installation and use of third-party parts and accessories not manufactured or recommended by Acekare.
