    Enjo. The Enjo must not be used for any transport that does not comply with its intended use. This applies in particular to all types of load transport, such as transporting everyday objects with the wheelchair and the Enjo.
  • Page 6 The user must always be able to react to such sudden movements by the person being transported. It is therefore the responsibility of the person trained in the use of the Enjo to decide whether it is possible to transport a person without risk when that person has particular pathologies.

    This user manual contains instructions, information and warnings relating to the operation of the Enjo and the charging of the batteries. They must be read and heeded before the Enjo is put into service or charged for the first time.

    Enjo! Avoid using the Enjo on unstable ground (gravel, sand, mud, snow, ice or puddles). Do not expose the Enjo to strong sunlight for long periods when not in use. This will cause the motor to overheat. Plastic parts also age more quickly in strong sunlight.

    2. Getting started and driving The Enjo is delivered ready to use. This means that the brackets [8] and bar [9] have been fitted to the wheelchair by a professional. You have the motorisation, the control box to attach to the handle.

    • Make sure the control unit is switched off (LEDs off [14]). • Tighten the quick-release clamp until it locks into place on the tube. • Connect the control unit to the Enjo drive unit [3] • The control unit can then be used.

    2.4 Removing the control unit Make sure that the control box is switched off (LEDs off [14]). Disconnect the control box from the drive unit by pressing the button shown here in the red circle. Unscrew the quick-release clamp [17] from the handle. For safe storage of the control box, it should be placed in the storage case, in the space provided [B] (see section 1.7).

    Once you have finished driving, the Enjo should be switched off, in particular to save battery power. To switch off the Enjo, briefly press the On/Off Button [16]. The LED display [14] will go out. If the Enjo is then removed from the wheelchair, the control unit must also be removed (see section 2.5).

    3. Battery 3.1 Battery charging The Enjo battery is built into the Enjo and cannot be removed. To charge the battery, we recommend removing the Enjo from the wheelchair. • Secure the wheelchair with its brakes to prevent uncontrolled movement.
  • Page 18 • Never immerse the Enjo in water. This could cause irreparable damage. • Battery life depends, among other things, on where the Enjo is stored. So do not leave the Enjo for long periods in hot places. In particular, the boot of a car parked in the sun should only be used for transport, not for storage.

If cracks are visible in the rubber profile, the Enjo should no longer be used. You can only obtain a new wheel as a spare part from Acekare, via your dealer.

Do not reverse over obstacles Follow the wheelchair manufacturer’s instructions for negotiating obstacles. To go down an obstacle in reverse, you can use the strap to raise the Enjo.

    6.2 Maintenance For the maintenance of your Enjo, an interval of 2 years has been deemed appropriate under normal conditions of use, based on market observation. However, this indicative value of 2 years may vary according to the frequency of use.

    If you no longer need your Enjo, please contact Acekare or your dealer. Your Enjo can be reconditioned and reused by somebody else. Before each re-use, a technical safety check of the Enjo must be carried out. The brackets with which the Enjo is attached to the wheelchair can be quickly and easily removed from your wheelchair and fitted to a new one.
