Audiocodes 440HD IP Phone
Navigation: The Soft Keys activate the feature directly
above the key. To navigate the Soft Keys and see
different features you can use the directional pad moving
right and left to cycle through the Soft Key menu or up
and down to move through context menus.
Call Handling:
To Answer a Call, Pick up the handset or press the Accept
softkey.
You can place a call on hold in order to answer a second
incoming call (see above) or to make another call.
To place a call on hold:
1. Press the HOLD key; the call is put on hold.
2. To retrieve a call on hold:
Press the HOLD key again -OR- press the Resume softkey.
To place a Call Pick up the handset or press the speaker
key. Enter the number that you wish to call and then press
the Dial Softkey (if you don't, dialing is automatically
performed after a few seconds) or press the # (pound) key.
To Adjust Audio Volume:
1. While on an active call using the Handset, Speaker, or Headset press the volume up or
down hard button in the bottom right corner of the phone.
2. Once volume is set the Handset Volume bar screen will disappear.
To perform an attended transfer:
1. While on an active call press the TRANS soft key on the
phone. The caller is placed on hold and they will hear
music.
2. Dial the telephone number or extension of the party
you intend to transfer to.
3. Press the Dial softkey.
4. After consulting with the person you are transferring to
press the TRANS soft key on the phone.
5. Press the OK softkey and you may now hang up the
phone.
To make a 3-way conference call:
1. Make a call to the first participant in the
conference call.
2. Press the Conf softkey and then make a call
to the second participant.
3. When the second party answers, press the
Conf softkey.
4. To end the three‐way conference call, hang
up the phone or press the End softkey.
Voicemail: To access voicemail press the envelope
key. When you have a new voicemail waiting this key
will be lit.
When you access your voicemail box for the first time
the default PIN is 13579 and it will request that you
reset it on first login.
To Forward Calls:
1. At the home screen of the phone press the
Forward softkey.
2. In the forward screen navigate to the line
you wish to forward or select to All
Extensions to forward all lines connected to
your phone. Press the Select softkey on the
option you intend to use.
3. In the Automatic Forward Screen, navigate
to the option you wish to use, Always (Calls
are always forwarded), Busy (The call is
forwarded when the line is busy), or No
reply (The call is forwarded if incoming calls
are not answered within a defined time in
seconds. Press the Select key on the option
you choose.
4. You will now select Number to Forward and
enter the telephone number or extension
you intend to forward to. Press the Start key
to activate call forwarding. You will see an
arrow next to the line that is forwarded on
your home screen.
5. To deactivate call forwarding press the
Forward softkey and then press the Disable
softkey to disable forwarding conditions.
