Check the hardness of the water The machine will prompt for descaling to be carried out after a predeter- mined period of time, depending on the water hardness. The machine can also be programmed according to the actual hardness of the local water supply, so that descaling is required less frequently.
Installing a filter To ensure the performance of the machine remains constant over time, a message will suggest you install a De’Longhi water softener filter (D5). Proceed as follows to install the filter straight away, or alternatively, press “ ” (B6) to postpone installation: 18.
