    WARNING! To reduce potential safety issues, use only the user-replaceable battery provided with the computer, a replacement battery provided by HP, or a compatible battery purchased from HP. IMPORTANT: Removing a battery that is the sole power source for the computer can cause loss of information.

    To replace the battery, reverse the removal procedures. NOTE: When replacing the battery, be sure to completely reassemble the computer and plug in the AC adapter before turning the computer on. Display subcomponents (without removing the display assembly) You can remove some display subcomponents without removing the entire display assembly from the computer.
  • Page 37 The display bezel is available as spare part number N84791-001. The display panel is secured to the display enclosure with tape that is installed in two locations under the panel. To remove the panel, use tweezers to grasp the end of each piece of tape (1).

Lift the locking bar (3), and then disconnect the cable (4) from the panel.     When replacing the USB board, be sure to remove the USB bracket from the old board and install it onto the new board. To remove the USB bracket from the USB board, peel up the foil tape (1) that secures the bracket to the board, and then pull the bracket straight off (2) the board. Peel the USB cables (1) off the computer. NOTE: Depending on model, the computer might include one or two USB cables. Lift the right side of the system board (2) until it rests at an angle.
