CONFIGURATION ATTACH/DETACH NVG MOUNT - ATTACH/DETACH THE NVG MOUNT ATTACH THE NVG MOUNT Turn the Lock Lever (1) CCW so that the Mounting Pin (2) is straight up and down. Slide the Mounting Pin onto the mounting guide of the interface plate, making sure the Interface Plate Guides (3) align with the Mount channels.

REPLACE BATTERY - REPLACE THE GSGM BATTERY Turn Battery Compartment Cover (1) CCW to open and remove the battery. Make sure the Battery Cap O-ring (2) is clean. Wipe free of debris. Insert the new battery positive (+) side first. Put the Battery Compartment Cover back on and turn CW until tight.
OPERATION PIVOT - STOWING/DEPLOYING THE NVG Push the Flip Release Button (1), then pivot the Mount to the stowed or deployed position and release the Button. UP/DOWN - ADJUSTMENT OF THE NVG Turn the Lever (1) CCW to unlock. Adjust the Mount height.

SELECT POWER - SELECT INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL POWER Move the Guard (1) forward to change the power source. Move the Power Switch (2) up to select the internal battery or down to select external power. Move the Guard back to secure. 30 April, 2024 Rev.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE Clean the Mount by flushing away dirt with fresh water and/or wiping down the assemblies with a clean, damp cloth. If used in a saltwater environment, flushing with fresh water and drying after use is recommended. If used extensively in a saltwater environment, lightly lubricate stainless steel parts as needed.

PREFLIGHT TEST - PERFORM LOW BATTERY INDICATOR TEST The following pre-flight procedure is used to determine if the Low Battery Indicator is properly functioning on the DPAM. A proper test is performed when the Low Battery Sensor in the Battery Pack illuminates the Low Battery Indicator on the DPAM.

AFE TEST - RECOMMENDED AFE TEST FOR THE REMOTE LOW PROFILE BATTERY PACK This procedure utilizes Government/FAA Certified Equipment to test the operation of the Remote Low Profile Battery Pack. This process utilizes the Portable Digital NVD Test Kit (ANV-126A) and Inline Volt Test Adapter (ANV-126-047).

AFE TEST (CONTINUED) Step 6.) Set the ANV-126A to “Battery Test”. Step 7.) Set the adjustment slide on the ANV-126-047 fully to the right. Step 8.) Turn on the ANV-126-047, and slowly move the adjustment slide from right to left. Step 9.) Note the voltage indicated on the ANV-126A when the NVG mount’s Low Battery Indicator activates.
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS ▲ WARNING ▲ Lithium batteries contain sulfur dioxide gas under pressure and should be handled in the following manner: • If the Battery Compartment becomes hot to touch and you hear a hissing sound (i.e., battery venting) or smell irritating sulfur dioxide gas, IMMEDIATELY turn off the equipment.
