When using the Disto 5 for distance measurements and you need to take 8 meters off of your result for every measurement is it possible to program the device in a way that it can automatically subtract the 8 meters.
For example : A distance is measured but we need to take off 8 meters each time. This would happen in a Track & Field throwing event , like Javelin. The measurement must be taken from a point which is 8 m back of the scratch line. It might measure 52.89, however the official distance would be minus 8 m to make it 44.89
