Snap chalk lines for rail location within shingle course. (Refer to module manufacturer frame clamping zones). Mark mounting locations over rafters and chalk lines within shingle course. Refer to engineering letters for allowable mount spacing. It is best practice to stager mounts.

- Page 5 Part C: Mount Placement and Installation for Deck Connection To maintain flashing performance, avoid installation when the temperature of the roof and/or butyl is below 22F or above 176F. K2 EverSeal must be installed on a dry surface. For deck attachments, follow steps in B2, but only use “4000310 - #14 x 3in x 0.3125in Hex Head Screw”.
- Page 6 Position and install rail on back side of K2 MultiMount towards the ridge, as shown in the image. Insert T-Bolt through slot and into side channel of CrossRail. Turn the T-Bolt clockwise ensuring that the mark at the end of the shaft is vertical, indicating proper alignment. Tighten to 25.8 ft-lbs (35 Nm).
- Page 7 Line up mounts horizontally up the roof facing the ridge on a chalk line facing the Multi Mount serrations. Take your rail and push it agaisnt the Rail Runner; do not tighten up the Runner it should be a little loose so the rail can easily run through smoothly.
- Page 8 With the rail mounted inside the Rail Runner, adjust to your desired height and fasten. Torque the Rail Runner bolt to 12ft-lbs [16.27 Nm]. The Rail Runner is designed to support your rail and provide maximum engagement.
- Page 9 Place the rest of the Multi Mounts with the Rail Runner repeating from Step 2, to complete your installation.
