    SITRANS mobile IQ is an app for mobile devices that enables authorized service technicians to monitor and configure compatible field instrumentation over a Bluetooth interface.     Operating 7.3 Starting a verification and generating a certificate or report 1. Start the SITRANS mobile IQ app. The smartphone or tablet automatically searches for Bluetooth devices in the vicinity. The devices found are listed. Select the Verificator in the device list. 2.

A full verification consists of transmitter test, insulation test and coil circuit test. – You can also start a partial verification by switching to the "Verification" tab. No certificates can be generated on partial verifications.

    A Verificator with an expired calibration will still be able to perform verifications, but the certificate will include a "not calibrated" watermark. Re-calibration of the SITRANS Verificator is offered at our Measurement Instrumentation factory. Contact your local Siemens representative for support: Technical support (Page 48). Follow the guidelines described under Return procedure (Page 40). Ordering licenses Licensing model To use the SITRANS Verificator for full or partial verifications, you need an active license installed.
  • Page 38 A license can be ordered through PIA Life Cycle Portal (https://www.pia- portal.automation.siemens.com) or through your local sales representative. Issuing a new license can take up to 5 working days and will be sent by email. It is recommended to order a new license at the same time as you do the Annual calibration (Page 37).

Repeat the sensor check with the Verificator connected directly to the sensor. This is necessary to rule out the cable installation as the source of the verification failure.
