IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING - To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or
injury to persons when using your appliance, follow ba¬
sic precautions, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. Do not wash or dry articles that have been previ¬
ously cleaned in, washed in, or spotted with gaso¬
line, dry cleaning solvents, other flammable or ex¬
plosive substances. Do not add gasoline, dry-clean¬
ing solvents, or other flammable or explosive sub¬
stances to the wash water. These substances give
off vapors that could ignite or explode.
3. Do not allow children to play on or in the appliance.
Close supervision of children is necessary when the
appliance is used near children. Children should
never be left alone or unattended in the area where
appliances are located.
4. Do not reach into the appliance if the tub or drum
is moving.
5. Do not tamper with controls.
6. Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance oi
attempt any servicing unless specifically recom¬
mended in the user-maintenance instructions or in
published user-repair instructions that you under¬
stand and have the skills to carry out.
7. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be pro¬
duced in a hot system that has not been used for 2
weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the
hot water system has not been used for such a pe¬
riod, before using a washinq machine or combina¬
tion Washer-Dryer, turn on all hot water faucets and
let the water flow from each for several minutes.
This will release any accumulated hydrogen. KEEP
CLEAR OF OPEN FLAME!
8. Do not use fabric softeners or products to eliminate
static unless recommended by the manufacturer of
the fabric softener or product.
9. Do not use heat to dry articles containing foam rub¬
ber or similarly textured rubber-like materials.
10. The interior of the machine and exhaust duct should
be cleaned periodically by qualified service person¬
nel.
I 1. The Washer-Dryer must be plugged into a properly
grounded Three-pronged electrical outlet. For your
safety, the third prong (grounding prong) must nev
er be removed. DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CORD.
12. Repair or replacement of a part should be made on¬
ly by a qualified service technician to prevent per
sonal injury or damage to the machine. Ask your
dealer for a list of authorized repair service agents.
I 3. Disconnect power to the Washer-Dryer at the circuit
bleaker oi fuse box, or unplug the machine iri ari
emergency or when servicing is required. Have the
installer show you and label the proper switch or
fuse.
14. Before the appliance is removed from service or dis¬
carded, remove the door to the washing/drying
compartment.
I S. Do not place items exposed to cooking oil in your
dryei. Items contaminated with cooking oils may
contribute to a chemical reaction that could cause a
load to catch fire.
INTRODUCTION
ABOUT YOUR WASHER-DRYER
This appliances described in this manual are automat¬
ic Washer and Condensing Tumble Dryer. Model EZ
3600 C has a capacity of 13 lbs and model EZ 2500 C
has a 10 lb capacity. Both are front loading, with an ex
tra large door opening for easier access. They have 5
wash cycles, 5 wash/rinse settings (EZ 3600 CEE - 3 set¬
tings) and 2 heat options. These Washer-Dryers are
"condensing" units, meaning that no exhaust vent is re¬
quired. Hot air from the drying cycle is water-cooled in¬
ternally causing the moisture in the heat to condense.
(Note: The machine draws cold water during the dry cy¬

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS '
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of
malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the
risk of electrical shock by providing a path of least re¬
sistance for electrical current. This appliance is
equipped with a cord having an equipment-ground¬
ing conductor and a grounding plug.
The plug must be Inserted Into an appropriate outlet
that is properly installed and grounded in accordance
with all local codes and ordinances,
