Combinations of safety measures

It is possible to combine indoor units with different safety measures
(no safety measures, alarm and/or natural ventilation, alarm and
shut-off valves) in the same system.

WARNING
The installation MUST comply with the requirements that
apply to this R32 equipment. For more information, see
"13 Special requirements for R32
14.1

Preparing the installation site

WARNING
The appliance shall be stored in a room without
continuously operating ignition sources (example: open
flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric
heater).
WARNING
The appliance shall be stored as follows:
▪ in such a way as to prevent mechanical damage.
▪ in a well-ventilated room without continuously operating
ignition sources (example: open flames, an operating
gas appliance or an operating electric heater).
▪ in a room with dimensions as specified in
requirements for R32

Installation site requirements of the
outdoor unit
Mind the spacing guidelines. See the "Technical data" chapter, and
the figures on the inside of the front cover.
INFORMATION
The sound pressure level is less than 70 dBA.
▪ Make sure the area is well ventilated. Do NOT block any
ventilation openings.
▪ The outdoor unit is designed for outdoor installation only, and for
the following ambient temperatures:

Additional installation site requirements
of the outdoor unit in cold climates
Protect the outdoor unit against direct snowfall and take care that the
outdoor unit is NEVER snowed up.

Snow might build up and freeze between the heat exchanger and
the casing of the unit. This might decrease the operating efficiency.
For instructions on how to prevent this (after mounting of the unit),

"14.3.3 To provide
drainage" [ 4  27].
NOTICE
When operating the unit in heating in a low outdoor
ambient temperature with high humidity conditions, make
sure to take precautions to keep the drain holes of the unit
free by using proper equipment.
