CAUTION: Be sure to check the generator on a level surface with the engine
stopped.
1. Check the engine oi! level.
CAUTION: Engine oil is a major factor affecting engine performance and
service life. Non-detergent or vegetable oils are not recommended.
Use Honda 4-stroke oil, or an equivalent high detergent, premium quality
motor oil certified to meet or exceed U.S. automobile manufacturer's
requirements for Service Classification SE or SF. (Motor oils classified SE
or SF will show this designation on the container.)
SAE 10W-40 is recommended for general, all-temperature use. If single
viscosity oi! is used, select the appropriate viscosity for the average
temperature in your area.
Remove the oil filler cap and wipe the dipstick. Reinsert the dipstick,
without screwing It in, to measure the engine oil level.
If the oil level is low, add the recommended oil to the upper level mark.
Do not overfill.
Oil capacity: 0.7 g (0.74 US qt) .
