Precautions and Conformance Standards Allied Telesyn 9100 Installation Safety Connect the clip from the ESD-preventative device to an unpainted surface of the frame, rack or ESD point on the chassis frame connecting it directly to ground. This ensures that unwanted ESD voltages safely flow to ground.

Connect Power and Ground Installing Power and Ground for the 9101 The separate protective earthing terminal provided on this product shall be permanently connected to earth. Before connecting any power (or grounding) cable, ensure the following: Connect to a reliably grounded 48VDC SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) source. (SELV - UL60950 - A circuit designed so that its voltages do not exceed a normal and fault value of 42.4 Vpeak or 60 VDC.) The branch circuit overcurrent protection must be rated 15A.
