Fowler Section Positioning - Pneumatic Fowler
The Fowler section (1) can be positioned at any angle between horizontal (0˚) and a full sitting position
1. Firmly grasp the end of the Fowler section (1), located on the head end of the stretcher, with
both hands.
2. Squeeze the Fowler release handle (2) upward.
Push or pull (depending on the patient's size) the Fowler section (1) upward or downward
until the desired position is achieved. When the Fowler section (1) is in the desired position,
release the Fowler release handle (2) to lock the Fowler section in place.
Firmly grasp the Fowler section with both hands during positioning.
Failure to do so could result in personal injury to the patient, back injury
to the operator, or the operator's fingers could be pinched.
