WIRING

3.1

Enclosure Knockouts

The knockouts used must comply with the following rules:

The AC power connection to the PAD-4 power supply must use an independent knockout. No
other wiring may be colocated with the AC wiring.

No knockouts should be made to the top of the enclosure.
NOTE: The holes for a wireless antenna on the top of the network enclosure are covered with
plastic plugs, for future use.

No knockouts should be made to the bottom of the enclosure.

Fiber Optic Connection

Refer to the Scalance XC206-2SFP-MM Multimode and XC206-2SFP-SM Single Mode Ethernet Fiber
Switch Installation Instructions, Document ID A6V12198161, for details on the fiber optic connections.
3.3

Power and Battery Connection to the PAD-4

Refer to the PAD-4 Manual, P/N 315-050217, for details on the installation of power and battery
connections to the PAD-4.
