Network Enclosure Installation Instructions

INTRODUCTION
Desigo Fire Safety Modular or Cerberus PRO Modular systems, and Desigo Fire Safety Compact or
Cerberus PRO Compact systems, can communicate to a Management Station, Desigo CC or Cerberus
DMS, located in a distance via fiber optic cables connected between Scalance XC206-2SFP-MM or
XC206-2SFP-SM Ethernet Network switches.
The Network Enclosure (NTWRK-ENCL) is required for installation of the Scalance XC206-2SFP-MM/-SM
switch when a Management Station is not located within 20 feet (6.1 m) in a closed conduit from a VNT
mounting plate VNT-MP installed in a CAB2 or CAB3 enclosure for Desigo Fire Safety Modular/Cerberus
PRO Modular panels.
The Network Enclosure (NTWRK-ENCL) is required for installation of the Scalance XC206-2SFP-MM/-SM
switch when a Management Station is not located within 20 feet (6.1 m) in a closed conduit from a
NTWRK-MP-C mounting plate installed in 2HU or 3HU enclosure for Desigo Fire Safety Compact or
Cerberus PRO Compact panels.
The door is permanently hinged left. The enclosure is mounted on a flat surface with four user supplied
bolts that are a maximum of 3/8 inch in diameter. The enclosure is used to install the Scalance XC206-
2SFP-MM/-SM, a PAD-4 power supply, and batteries.
