Use of snow chains is only permitted with certain
rim/t ire combinations due to tec hnical
reasons.

in the tire's size designa-
tion

represents the rat io
of

tire's sidewall height
in
relat ion to its tread width
expressed
in
percentage
.
Conventional tires have
a height/w idt

or
more
.
The performance of low-aspect-ratio tires is
par-
ticularly sensitive to improper inflation pres-
sure. It is therefore important that low aspect
ratio tires are inflated to the specified pressure
and that the inflation pressure is regularly
checked and maintained
.

What you can do to avoid tire and rim
damage
Low aspect

io tires can be damaged more

ly by impact with potho les, curbs, gullies or
ridges on t he
road,
particularly if t he tire is
un-
der

lated.

n order to min imize
t
he occurrence
of
impact
damage to the tires
of
your vehicle, we recom

mend
that you observe the following
precau-
tions:

Always main tain recommende
d
inf
lat
ion
pres-
sures.
Check
your
t ire pressure every 2,000
miles (3,000 km) and add air if
necessary.

Drive carefully on roads w ith potholes, deep
gullies
or
ridges
.
The impact from dr iving
throug
h
or over such obstacles can damage
your t ires. Impact wit
h
a curb may also cause
damage to your tires.
-After
any impact, immed iate ly inspect you
r
tires or have them inspected by the nearest au-
thorized

dealer. Replace a damaged tire as
soon as possible
.

Inspect your tires every 2,000 m iles (3,000 km)
for damage and wear

Damage is
