Please note that unconsciously "resting"
your foot on the accelerator pedal prevents
the cruise control from braking. This is be-
cause pressing the accelerator pedal over-
rides the cruise control system

is
a brake system malfunction such
as overheating when the speed warning sys-
tem is switched on, the braking function in
the
system will be deactivated. The remain-
ing speed warning system functions will re-
ma in
active,
as long as the

Overriding the speed
You can press the accelerator pedal down to

crease your speed,

example if you want to
pass someone. The speed you saved earlier will
resume as soon as you
let
off of
the
accelerator
pedal.
If, however, you exceed your saved speed by 5
mph (10 km/h) for longer than 6 minutes, the
cruise control turns off temporarily
