The aux iliary climate control controls the tem-
perature
in the vehicle inter ior ent irely with elec-
tric power. It turns on only
if
the
high-voltage
battery charge
level is
sufficient
and there
is
enough
fuel
in the
tank.

auxiliary

auxiliary

Due
to the
high
temperatures
that
result
from
operating the auxiliary
heating/
air
conditioning,
the
vehicle must be parked
in
a way so that the hot exhaust can escape
at
the
bottom
of the
engine
cover without ob-
struction. The exhaust must
not
come into
direct contact with highly flammab
le
mate-
rials.

Tips
Water
vapor can
build up
near the
engine
compartment
when outside temperatures
are
low.
This is a natural phenomenon
and is no
cause for concern.
