No power
e ts the power lead connected properly?
e Is power lead connected to the unit?
If so, disconnect it.
Are the batteries properly inserted in the
battery compartment?
e Are the batteries exhausted?
No battery operation.
No sound from the radio.
Tape does not run when
a button is pressed.
e is the power lead connected to the unit?
if so, disconnect it.
No car battery operation .
e ts the direction of the cassette reversed?
Cassette cannot be
inserted.
e ls the PAUSE button depressed? If so,
unlock and release.
e Are the cassette tabs for accidental erasure
Deteriorated sound or
irregular tape speed.
prevention punched out?
Slow tape speed or low
volume.
¢ Clean heads, capstan and pressure roller
with a cleaning stick.
e Are the batteries exhausted?
